User submitter portal manual¶

This document provides guidance how to enter metadata and link it to the uploaded files via the FEGA test submitter portal .

The metadata submission is organized around the following schema concept .

Prerequisites¶

User has an account at EGA test web page , has been assigned the role estonia-submitters in it and has uploaded files into designated storage (S3). Files uploads can be done in parallel, but metadata submission cannot be completed until the files have been uploaded.

Metadata submission process¶

• Login into the FEGA test submitter portal .

• In all other aspects FEGA test submitter portal mimics the central EGA archive submitter portal in every detail. To create a new submission and finalize it follow the instruction on this page

  Tip

  Warning

  If you see error message:

  Some of the files linked in this submission are not yet ingested.

  then just wait a little bit - sometimes ingestion takes more time (especially when dealing with large files).

Useful features in the FEGA submitter portal¶

• By clicking on add Info one can take advantage of optional features like invite collaborators to contribute to a joint submission and provide information to be displayed exclusively to the submitter and submission collaborators only.

After submission¶

Contact ´Vlad´, ´Ulvi´ or ´Tommy´, who can approve submission and also release dataset.
